Duo Modarp - Daniel Bolgar Marimba/Percussion/Drums

Duo Modarp is a marimba – harp formation consisting of Monika Markovich and Dániel Bolgár.
The formation was born in 2007 and since then Monika and Daniel have given concerts in Hungary, Belgium, and England.
The two musicians have managed to combine these unique instruments and their sound to create something different and new.
These instruments can produce a mellow, organic sound, but it is also possible to bring out the exciting differences of one another by creating contrasting sounds and effects. Although the original repertoire written is still somewhat limited, Daniel and Monika also play their own transcriptions and compositions, and are always on the lookout for new repertoire.
Today, they are receiving several dedicated, excellent, prize-winning new pieces from many composers worldwide.

Duo Modarp have played at venues including the National Galery in London, at the Royal College of Music London, in Budapest at the Rózsavölgyi Szalon, Nádor Terem, Gödöllő Palace of Arts, Hátsó Kapu amongst others.
